The 4 shows I love to binge watch (And how they help to get me through the day.)

My newfound cancer addiction and guilty pleasure is binge watching.

Prior to cancer I loved watching dark and gritty true crime and true-to-life shows… now I need light hearted stories and humour!

The Office

is my life line and I only have one season left. I looooooooove Dwight! I am obsessed… level one stalker. I have even researched this actor and learned he has a cute child and a brilliant wife. My favourite episode is when Dwight acts out a fire for the purpose of a fire drill. His character has brought me through some really tough and dark moments, allowing me to laugh when life is not funny.

Working Moms

Well done CBC, well done Canada. After getting past the full frontal nudity in the first episode, I persevered and fell deeply in love with this show. And was personally completely deviated when one of the husbands cheated on his wife… I won’t say who for spoilers, but all I can say is I was shocked. My husband was shocked I was so invested in a character plot and rolled his eyes.

30 Rock

I am rewatching all the episodes, and have still found myself in love with Alec Baldwin’s character. Kevin gives me lots of laughs he is the NBC page and of course Tracey Morgan he is always top of his game.

Parks and Rec

A lot of the characters are annoying… but I love Tom, just makes me laugh and I love him as an actor too!

After a tough day, with bad news laughter goes a long way! It helps with my positivity and lightens my spirits! Laughter sometimes really is the best medicine!

About The Author

A few months ago, I was told that my boobs are trying to kill me and being misdiagnosed for two years allowed them to recruit throughout the rest of my body by way of my spine. Before this, I knew f*ck all about cancer. Now, between sipping chemo cocktails, I want to talk about the truth of living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer with my support system and people I have met along the way to recovery.
