Stand Up Speak Up Fashion Show!

Before my diagnosis, I was committed to my entrepreneurial ventures and my volunteer and advocacy work. For the last couple of years, I (along with a small team) had created and were running an advocacy clothing brand called Stand Up Speak Up. The mission of this brand was to bring awareness and start conversations about issues that are often ignored or don’t get enough attention in mainstream media.

While cancer has changed my day-to-day life in many different ways, it has not changed my passions or my desire to create positive change in the world. So, it was important to me to keep Stand Up Speak Up alive and running, even if I don’t have as much time and energy to devote to it as I once did.

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing a partnership with a charity organization that I hope will benefit from sales. It is one that is definitely near and dear to my heart.

But first, I wanted to join these worlds and showcase some of the designs that we have at the store with a little fashion show – modelled by Ana, Erin and myself!

Anger and Scars Heal

I also have created a few designs for Breast Cancer Awareness and just to give me strength and be my superhero uniform when I am going to my appointments.

And while I was playing dress up, I had to add a fabulous pair of shoes.

About The Author

A few months ago, I was told that my boobs are trying to kill me and being misdiagnosed for two years allowed them to recruit throughout the rest of my body by way of my spine. Before this, I knew f*ck all about cancer. Now, between sipping chemo cocktails, I want to talk about the truth of living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer with my support system and people I have met along the way to recovery.
