One of the things that I heard again and again when I was in the hospital was how great my family and friends were. Someone would come to visit every day and there were people coming from all over the country and sending messages from all over the world.
When I got home, I wanted my room to be a space where we could all hang out, laugh, talk about real things, create silly videos, where I could communicate with you online and where I could snuggle with the dogs and those I love.
And so The Klubhouse was born!
Now that we have the name on the door, I want it to really feel like me and be welcoming and be full of things I love. And (much to Al’s chagrin) that means organizing.
I also have one other space in the house that I can call my own – My Office. While it might not he a traditional live-work space, it is the one place that I can be completely alone with my thoughts and regroup, refocus or relax. Well, depending on how much barking is happening outside the door!
Already, we have had some great times and made some amazing memories in The Klubhouse. I love when the wonderful and powerful women in my life come over to watch me get pampered and just talk about anything.
