Back to Normal

One of the things that you cherish the most when you’re dealing with something like Terminal Cancer is those normal moments that are not about appointments or medicine or anything to do with your disease and you just get to be a normal person doing normal things.

Like watching television (well, I’m not watching really) with your family.

And those little moments when you can just enjoy your partner relaxing alongside you.

I love this moment from back in the hospital when Kim thought I was posting a video of her where she didn’t look good. She looked great and I posted it anyway. This just feels like US – a little yelling, a lot of laughing, even more love.

Here are the offending videos, which I didn’t even put up until now!

And of course my normal does still include an awful lot of medical stuff.

About The Author

A few months ago, I was told that my boobs are trying to kill me and being misdiagnosed for two years allowed them to recruit throughout the rest of my body by way of my spine. Before this, I knew f*ck all about cancer. Now, between sipping chemo cocktails, I want to talk about the truth of living with Stage 4 Breast Cancer with my support system and people I have met along the way to recovery.
